Midnight Muses (2026)
“Midnight Muses” began in CTXA 535 under the supervision of Einar Baldvin in his “Writing and Story Art for Vision and Motion” class (Spring 2025). It found its first animated footing in Kathy Smith’s CTXA 579 Expanded Animation class (Fall 2025), and eventually evolved into its final form in Gregory Garay’s CTXA 547 Expanded Animation Production 1 class (Spring 2026).
It is a semi-autobiographical film that utilizes 2D, 3D, traditional media, and digital archives to merge memory, dreams, and intergenerational trauma into a visual music sequence. Inspired by silent films, visual music works, and documentary work, “Midnight Muses” serves as a warm welcome into my journey of Expanded Animation.
